Data Files |   Emergency Physician Joins HSC as Senior ResearcherNews Release  FURTHER INFORMATION, CONTACT: 
   A graduate of Harvard University and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Carrier completed her residency in emergency medicine at New York University and Bellevue Hospital, where she served as chief resident. Following her residency, Carrier completed a medicine and public health research fellowship at New York University, earning a masters of science in clinical investigation. She also served as an attending physician in the emergency departments of Montefiore Medical Center and the VA New York Harbor Healthcare Center. Board certified in emergency medicine, Carrier will continue to practice emergency medicine part time at Inova Health System in Virginia. Carriers research has focused on the fragmentation and coordination of care, payment reform and the future of safety net providers under health reform. She is a member of AcademyHealth. "As an emergency physician, Dr. Carrier has seen firsthand our delivery 
  systems shortcomings in managing care for patients with chronic conditionsshe 
  will be a tremendous asset to HSCs ongoing research in this area," said
